I purchased this bag right before school as my messenger style bag could no longer carry all of my texts and a laptop without hurting my back and shoulders. This bag is AWESOME.
List of features that work:
-Excellent weight dispersion between chambers helps it sit well on my back
-Straps truly do flex enough on the top so to fit a wide-shouldered fellow like myself
-Slash pocket is easily accessible
-Pen pouch is well sized and not easily cluttered
-Laptop pouch has stowed my laptop safely for two months now, everyday with cycling and busriding and no wear or tear WITHOUT A LAPTOP SLEEVE. I've had no issue without a sleeve.
-Plenty of space in the main compartment with a handy mesh compartment up top.
-Top down loading is quick and painless.
-Side pocket for laptop cords and whatnot... so nice. So so nice.
-Bag grade quality is very good. It has stayed resilient even during nasty weather.
I hope this helps some of you purchase this awesome bag. I don't think Timbuk2 is making it any longer. I didn't see it on their website.

I received my Timbuk2 laptop backpack two days early. I needed it for my large size laptop and all of my books. I have been using two different bags to carry my books and laptop till the Timbuk2 came. Now I can put all of my books and my laptop with accessories in one pack and it is a lot easier to get around. If you are an active person and in college with a laptop then this is the backpack for you. I am very satisfied with it.
